Rough roads, rain, tired kids, tired parents, funerals . . . nothing can stop the Annual Lillywhite Family Camp Out!
This year we camped in the beautiful mountains above Beaver. We were just a short drive from LeBaron Lake, where we enjoyed fishing and canoeing, and my crazy brother, Supe, went for a dip in his wet suit! Ellie and Brady were very excited about the canoe that Grandma and Grandpa brought. We have a great book called When We Go Camping and it shows people canoeing. They've been wanting to try it, and they loved it!
Fishing was great, too, especially because they were both successful. This was Ellie's first fish, and it's the first of any fish we've caught that we actually kept. Now, I just have to figure out a way to cook trout so it doesn't taste like fish. Bryan hopes that he will be out of town on business on the night I get brave enough to try.
Weed and Derek brought along a four-wheeler, which we really enjoyed. Brady and Ellie see them zipping all over town here in Fillmore, so they were excited to have the chance to finally ride one.
Yay, that sounds like it was so much fun! I hope we will be able to plan a really fun trip like that with the Randalls next year. Love the pictures by the way!
ReplyDeleteGlad you all survived. Looks like you got some good pics. I got some good ones that you will want too. Hurry and send your cd to Brynn so we can all share!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! Our ward recently had a campout with similar activities and our kids all had a great time. How blessed you are to have such a fun family (extended and immediate!)
