Spring is here, kind of, so it is time to start adventuring! A few weeks ago when cabin fever got the better of us all, we took a drive to Panguitch Lake. Along the way we saw a dead porcupine that had been hit by a car (we think). We stopped to look at it. It was big. We never knew they were so big and lived up high (close to 10,000 feet) in our mountains. We thought that was really neat. Seeing all the ice on the lake was awesome, too. We enjoyed the parts that weren't frozen and throwing in rocks. It was a fun little trip.
We've started gardening. Quite a few things are in now, and if they can survive the wind, we hope to get a good crop. Once again, Bryan has gone nuts on potatoes. He counted over 70 potato plants outside today. Yum!
Brady is playing T-ball. Most of the kids on the team are like him . . . they enjoy throwing grass, running around the bases when the coaches remind them that they need to run, and the after-game treats. It's fun to watch him play.
Ellie picked out some skates at the DI the other day and thinks she is the queen of skating now. She hasn't fallen too often, but she doesn't go very fast, either.
We went to the Three Peaks State Recreation area the other day for a picnic. It's a very desert area, but there is lots to explore and climb. The rocks are awesome for climbing, and Brady loved climbing the trees. We took "baths" in the holes we found on the rocks and had fun trying to catch lizards. The only way we caught them was with our camera, but we saw several different kinds, and we thought that was really neat. It's not far drive from our house, so it may become a frequent picnic area for us. We sure had a good time!
My heavens you guys are full of fun and adventure! That recreation area looks way fun and interesting. I never even knew it was there. We'll have to go now that I've had a good report of it. Brady and Ellie look like their having fun too in their new found activities. I'm sure they'll keep you plenty busy this summer!
